OUTCOME: HT 5-5: Identify and evaluate the usefulness of sources in the historical inquiry process. HT 5-7: Explain different contexts, perspectives and interpretations of the modern world and Australia. Australians reacted differently to the outbreak of war and, contrasting to World War One, enlistments did not rush in but, rather, it took time to attain the 20.000 Australian soldiers that had been promised to Britain for the war effort. Despite these differences in their sentiments to war, Australians did enlist into World War Two and their reasons for doing so were various.
